Curvy Carnarvon

ONE MILE JETTY -1.6km's built in 1897 for the transportation of wool, livestock and produce to Fremantle and the importation of goods, as you can imagine it would of taken months to do this overland, where as by boat it was only two days.
Yesterday we had a good drive from Denham through to Carnarvon, you travel through desert with salt bush and bidderas and then close to Carnarvon you come across banana plantations, fruit trees, tomatos, capsicums and beans, nearly an oasis in the desert. The area grows 70% of Western Australia's produce. On the main highway we saw a lot of kangaroo road kill and several groups of wild goats which to their credit have very good road sense.
QUOBBA BLOWHOLES north of Carnarvon are very impressive and shoot up to 20 metres high at times through sea caves. The sea is really powerful and quite deafening.
Isn't the water spectacular as the sea drops off the shelf. The area is very dangerous as there are King Waves and several lives have been lost.
The rock surface was very unusual as it was very uneven and looked almost volcanic.
